About Ida
Ida is a Pedagogue, Teacher and Creator based in Stockholm. Ida works with children with disabilities and special needs in the educational system, and in the field of arts. Her work is focused on sensorial, interactive, and communicative methods.
Since 2020 she has mainly focused on starting and establishing a new compulsory school for pupils with intellectual disabilities in Stockholm. Her role as a teacher is to lead the after school (fritidshem in Swedish) pedagogy and develop sensorial, creative solutions, and working methods.
In 2021, Ida was the Project Manager in a development project called “Learning with all Senses”, funded by SPSM in Sweden (The National Agency for Special Needs Education and Schools). The project focused on sensory motorical training and working methods with pupils at Kvickentorpsskolan in Stockholm.
In 2018, she choreographed and created LEK SAK, an interactive and sensorial dance concept for children with neurodiversity.
Ida is currently studying towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Teacher Education with focus as Extended School Instructor. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Arts in Dance Performance awarded at Stockholm University of the Arts.
Ida speaks Finnish, Swedish and English and has basic skills in TAKK, a supportive sign language in Swedish.
